So, do you truly know what is unique and special about you?
When did you last take time out to look at what you specifically have to offer and why it is different from the offerings of your competitors?
Have you assessed why clients come back to you or why they recommend you? What do they say about you? What do they love about you and your services or products? What are the problems you are addressing with them and solving for them? What do you truly love to do and find it comes easily and naturally?
One way to clarify your natural strengths and talents is through profiling as it will lay out in black and white exactly where your innate skills lie and enable you to plan out your working life to ensure you are playing to those strengths at least 80% of the time.
When you do this you are in ‘Flow’ and when you are in ‘Flow’ you positively ‘Glow’ with the magnetic energy of someone who is living life on purpose and loving every minute! It’s an energy that will draw people to you who want to know you and work with you even though they might not know why.
In ‘Flow’ work is a joy and comes easily and naturally so you consistently deliver extremely high quality every time and become the ‘trusted expert ‘ in your field. Clients will come back to you time after time and will happily recommend you knowing you will over exceed expectations every time.
To stay at that ‘trusted expert’ level you need to be continually learning and growing, challenging yourself and learning from every challenge so you can deliver even better results for your clients.
I truly believe it is important to be regularly ‘scared’ of the next step we are taking – if we are not ‘scared’, we are operating in our ‘Comfort zone’ where the only things that grow are dissatisfaction and waistlines!
Fear keeps us playing safe when facing that fear would open up a whole new raft of exciting opportunities for us.
Think of fear as a bully who when faced properly will melt away and allow you to be the incredible person you were born to be.
So – when was the last time you pushed yourself to the next level?
Can you remember how you felt pushing through that fear and the adrenalin rush which produced that deep feeling of fulfillment afterwards which kept you ‘buzzing for hours.
Nick Williams has a wonderful quote about fear –
“When you walk through your fear you become inoculated against it and on the other side of your fear lies a whole new sense of freedom”
When did you last learn something new and immediately apply it to your business?
To be seen as an ‘Expert’ we need to continually learn and grow and share our new learnings with our colleagues, our clients and our prospects?
I am sure you will have heard the saying – “Knowledge is Power” -I have seen evidence of this so many times!
We all love to be educated and when someone stands up at a networking event and shares a new study, latest statistics, a new tool or innovation – they grab the attention of the audience position themselves as an expert and attract people to them who want to know more.
People who constantly learn and grow are exciting to be around as you always learn something new from them and you go away feeling enriched by their presence. These are the people you will seek out at future events and continue to connect with on social media for years to come. They are also the people you are most likely to refer to your contacts as they continually offer new value.
So -what are you currently doing to position yourself as the ‘Expert’ in your field?
How do your clients and prospect know you are great at what you do?
Do you –
Invest in your own growth?
Work with a coach or mentor?
Surround yourself with successful people who will inspire, challenge and support your growth?
Attend workshops, seminars and conferences on a regular basis?
Read business/self development books and apply the knowledge?
Listen to webinars, online training, Ted Talks, YouTube business/personal development channels?
There has never been such and incredible wealth of knowledge at our fingertips as there is today ad yet with our constant pre-occupation with out ‘busyness’ we often forget to feed our brains and our souls! We are the greatest asset our business had and neglecting that asset has serious consequences.
The impact of taking time to invest in ‘YOU’ is phenomenal!
You are subliminally saying to yourself ’I am important, I matter enough to make time for my own development’
Regular investment in ‘YOU’ will result in the following
- Renewed confidence and self-esteem.
- Greater Personal Presence.
- Fresh ideas.
- Increase of your value to clients, prospect and colleagues.

- Business and personal growth
Knowledge is addictive and you will find that the more you learn, the more you want to know and every day becomes a journey of excitement, often into previously unknown territory.
You will feel much more fulfilled as you see yourself continually evolving and stepping up to the next level.
