BUILDING TRUST BY RECOGNISING YOUR UNIQUENESS

March 2, 2015 by SylviaB Leave a Comment

“People who recognise and celebrate their uniqueness exude a magnetic energy which is totally irresistible!”

I will be using the Nemonic of U.N.I.Q.U.E. to share my top 6 Tips on how to stand out from the crowd and build the TRUST that will draw your ideal clients to you – the people who want to work with you even though they don’t know why.

U is for – Unique/Unus – meaning ‘One’ – YOU are as UNIQUE as a fingerprint!

There has never been anyone quite like you on the planet before and there will never be anyone exactly like you again – isn’t that awesome?

Nobody has the same genetic make up, exactly the same upbringing, the same life experience, knowledge, learnings, relationships etc and all of it makes you the unique being you are today. No-one can ever take that away from you and no one can relate your life’s learnings the way you can.

When you can fully appreciate that uniqueness and celebrate what you have to offer, life becomes so much more fulfilling and easier as we use our natural talents to do what we do best.

So what is your story? What has made you the person you are today? What are the life experiences, learnings, relationships that have most impacted on you? Dig deep and think of times when you have been really challenged, deeply happy or profoundly sad – how have these times impacted on the person you have become today?

When have you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone and how did you feel after you walked through your fear?

One of my favourite quotes by Nick Williams is –

“When you walk through your fear you become inoculated against it and on the other side of your fears is a whiole new sense of freedom!”

Are you scared of delving too deeply into your past? Frightened of the emotions they might bring up? Unwilling to stir up old memories?

Regardless of how you are feeling right now, these challenging or rewarding times have shaped the person you have become today and are an intrinsic part of you that no-one can take away.

How can you use your life’s learnings to enhance what you are offering to your clients, your prospects, friends and family?

Whilst I totally believe in living fully in the present and savouring every moment, I also believe that others can learn so much from our unique knowledge, experiences, successes and failures.

Too many of us hide our history and only show the current positive sides of our lives. A little vulnerability goes a long way and brings an authenticity to everything you do plus the acceptance in others that they too can overcome life’s challenges and come out better, stronger and more fulfilled.

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.”
