Personal Presence Disbeliever to Believer!

August 17, 2014 by Sylvia Baldock Leave a Comment

February 2014

OK, just taken the plunge and booked myself on the Personal Presence One Workshop that Sylvia Baldock is running. I keep on hearing really good things about it and I know it’s based around the Talent Dynamics personality profiling, which I really like, and there’s a special offer for Athena members this month!

Not really sure what to expect. In my corporate life I was always being sent on various teambuilding and personal development courses and if I’m honest they all just blur into one big mass. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed them at the time but I’m not sure any of them have left a lasting impression. I’m worried that this might be more of the same. What this space to find out more.

March 2014

Hey, there might be something in all this! It’s seems that I have a Creator profile (which gives me an idea)! Seriously, it explains so much and means I don’t have to apologise for those things I don’t naturally feel compelled to do like sitting down with lots of spreadsheets looking for detailed information. I’ll find people with complementary profiles to do that for me!

During the workshop I identified my natural talents and strengths and that in itself has given me a real confidence boost. This along with support of the other delegates means I really feel energised and inspired to go and meet the world with renewed confidence clutching my action plan as I go!

April 2014

So following the workshop quite a lot has happened as a result! I’ve given myself permission to invest in myself in the form of a colours consultation, make-up revisit and some career coaching. Next on my hit list is to delegate some of those tasks that really get in my way of focusing on what I like and am good at doing.

I’ve also booked myself onto Personal Presence Two workshop because I didn’t want to miss out but since I’m still buzzing from the last I can’t see it can get any better! Let’s wait and see.

May 2014

What an incredible day! I’m not really a particularly spiritual person but from today onwards I might just be more inclined to be much more open minded about it.

It was something to do with the process I followed in the workshop to further refining what is unique about me and how to get rid of all the clutter that it’s buried under so that it can shine through. It also made me understand the power of being really “present” all the time. By that I mean focusing and experiencing on the here and now rather than be busily planning and thinking ahead to what I’ve got to do next.

The other thing I’ve learnt is that it really OK, fantastic in fact, to have a goal but not to know yet, how you’re going to reach it! Quite liberating!

June 2014

I’ve just taken the plunge and booked the services of a personal stylist, Emma Tennant. She is coming to audit my wardrobe next week and then a week later we’re going shopping for my holiday in Greece in early July. Must say I’m enjoying this “invest in you” lark!

I’ve also engaged a book keeper, accountant and now looking for a VA to complete my line up – I don’t want to play all the instruments and do a bit more conducting!

Yes, you’ve guessed it; I’ve booked on to the third Persona Presence Workshop later this month! Well, I’d be mad not to and I’ll be going with the attitude that I’m going to gain some further incredible insights about myself so watch this space.

July

Had a marvellous time with Emma. She met me in a coffee shop before taking me around a series of shops where she’d had clothes put by for me. Came away with a great wardrobe and feeling great.

Day of PP3 I felt fantastic as I knew what I was going to wear, took time to put on make-up and accessories, collected the notes for the talk I was giving and headed off feeling confident that I was going to have a great day.

Another exhausting but rewarding session – one of the best bits was reading out and hearing everyone’s vison about where’d they’d be and what’d they be doing in a year from now. Very powerful and inspiring. It makes it all seem possible.

August

Just reflecting on July and in so many was my best month in business yet. Not just from a financial point of view but also from a pipeline and prospects perspective. Things all seem to be coming together. September is already booking up and I’m working furiously way to get current projects finished before I go on holiday for two weeks in France. Really looking forward to relaxing but using the time to plan the next phase.

As I pack my bags and can look back and say things have certainly changed for me since attending that first Personal Presence workshop back in March. I think the crux of it all was that I allowed myself to invest time and money in me, to really step back and reflect, work out what I’m good at and enjoy doing and start making a plan to make it happen! The tools and techniques from the workshop really did facilitate my ability to do just that and I’m excited about what lies ahead

Au Revoir!
